Strategy and planning
Good strategy starts with clear thinking – but often, that clarity feels just out of reach. I help individuals, teams and boards untangle complexity, surface what really matters and articulate their ideas into a structure they can actually work from. That might be a communications strategy, a policy, a creative brief or just a workable plan, with a clear sense of what comes next.
What this often involves:
- Clarifying objectives – working with teams or boards to work out what you’re trying to achieve and how to go about it
- Communications and engagement strategy – shaping ideas and insights, exploring workable options and creating a practical, usable plan
- Developing briefs – for films, campaigns, toolkits or other content, including working out what AI can do well and what needs a human hand
- Audience mapping and channel strategy – deciding who needs to hear what, and how
- Messaging frameworks – to make sure what you say resonates, to change how people feel, think or act
- Knowledge management – shaping programme policies and learning into useable resources, toolkits or training content
- Demonstrating impact – helping you showcase your work and make a compelling case to funders, commissioners or decision-makers
- Training – helping teams build capacity and skills in interviewing, writing for impact, collaborating with AI and more
- Group work and facilitation – Convening stakeholders or teams to shape messaging or culture and identity, for standalone sessions or structured coaching programmes.
How I help
I work with individuals, teams and boards to help unpick what they want to achieve, who they need to reach, and how best to go about it.
Over more than 20 years across health and social change, I’ve seen what works, what doesn’t, and how to mitigate against common project pitfalls. Meanwhile, my external, multi-disciplinary perspective enables me to spot patterns and connections and reframe from different perspectives.
Whether you need a full strategy, a clear brief or simply a sounding board, the output is always practical and grounded in your context, using tools – including AI – as part of a thoughtful process that leads to measurable outcomes.
