Hello. I’m Eleanor.
I help health organisations gather insight and build engagement and trust, for meaningful transformation.
I use communication to drive change – shaping how people think, feel and act, drawing on anthropology, storytelling, behavioural insight and coaching to embed new ideas in practice.
I am currently writing a book on how to engage people and build trust in healthcare, due for publication in 2027 by Routledge Taylor & Francis.
I’ve spent more than two decades working in health communications, including a decade at The King’s Fund. Over that time I’ve partnered with providers and commissioners, policymakers, clinicians, start-ups, charities, universities, government bodies and think tanks – as well as hundreds of people with lived experience – to reach the audiences that matter.
I began my career focusing on the fundamentals of good health communication – accuracy, clarity and accessibility. But over the years, my anthropology background kept resurfacing – revealing how people see themselves and the world around them, what they find meaningful, and how cultural factors shape their engagement and response.
Finding the right words, tone and framing is the missing link that determines whether innovation and transformation truly take hold, and understanding that human layer is what turns good ideas into lasting change.
That understanding shapes how I work today – combining storytelling, behavioural science and strategy to help organisations shift mindsets and drive action.
Put simply, I use insight-led communication to help organisations strengthen relationships with the people who matter most to them.
