Step into my process of change
Before we start looking for solutions, I work with you to develop a deep understanding of the challenge, the people involved, and the system and processes around it.
When we talk, we’ll explore the challenge you’re facing and how best to fix it.
For example, if you’re developing a strategy…
Executive coaching can you explore your priorities, resolve conflict with other colleages, shape a compelling narrative and define your next steps.
Insight work can help you understand the perspectives of other stakeholders – board members, people with lived experience, staff or people across the wider system – to gain a deeper understanding of the issues they are facing, or how your organisation is perceived.
Unpicking thinking for positive change is an art as well as a science. That’s why I draw on behavioural science, qualitative research, executive coaching and mentoring, journalism and 25 years working in strategic communications to understand what works… and what doesn’t.
Four steps to positive change
All my work follows the Design Council’s Double Diamond model:
Here’s how these four steps produce positive outcomes:
Step 1: Discover – Unpicking the challenge and what success would look like
Step 2: Define – Refining the objectives, priorities and methods, drawing on feedback
Step 3: Develop – Building a clear brief and plan of action, with realistic, achievable steps
Step 4: Deliver – Guiding the work needed to pull together the final product.
The Double Diamond model is deceptively simple. But whenever a process runs aground it’s almost always because it’s skipped steps 1 and 2. My approach prevents nasty surprises, ensuring an enjoyable journey with successful outcomes.
In a short piece of work, a step may form just a small part of a conversation. But whatever I help with, these four steps will act as a backbone for everything we do.
Eleanor has been flexible and supportive.
We were delighted with the clarity she’s brought.
