Insight and coproduction
The best communication starts long before anything gets written or filmed. It begins with understanding the needs of the people you’re trying to reach – whether staff, service users or other stakeholders. I help you listen deeply, analyse results and often, work alongside your audiences, using methods that are ethical and rigorous.
What this often involves:
- In-depth interviews – with patients, carers, communities, healthcare staff and senior leaders to glean experiences, ideas, views, beliefs and more
- Stakeholder insight – surfacing what different stakeholders really think, feel and need, to inform change communication, organisational strategy and culture programmes
- Shaping watertight briefs – for films, resources, campaigns or strategies rooted in evidence, not assumptions
- Advising on approaches – to genuinely drive engagement, trust and action
- Facilitation – designing and running workshops, listening events and participatory sessions that surface what matters and build genuine buy-in
- Patient and public involvement – that goes beyond consultation and genuinely informs direction
- Coproduction – creating content alongside the people you’re trying to reach, so outputs will genuinely resonate
- Working with people with lived experience – including those facing significant or complex challenges, using ethical, person-centred and trauma-informed approaches
How I help
My starting point is always listening – to you and to the people you’re trying to reach. Through qualitative research, interviews and behavioural insight, I help you understand what genuinely matters to your audiences before anything gets made or decided.
My participatory approaches involve stakeholders in shaping the work. Whether through co-production, facilitation, listening events or other methods, this produces outputs that connect, through processes that themselves build confidence and trust.
The result is communication built on understanding – not assumptions – and real relationships.
“When we contacted Eleanor with a rough framework of an idea, we had no idea of how to put it all together. Eleanor facilitated and helped us through a series of complex thought processes to create an incredibly powerful piece of work. The final film conveyed all our key messages while putting the patients’ voice – and their experience – at the forefront.”
