Not all narrative is equal. I’m brought in to work on projects that demand real understanding – of your subject, your audience and what you want to shift. Whether that’s organisational messaging or a standalone film, report or toolkit, the goal is always the same: to win attention, build trust and shift how people think, feel or behave.
What this often involves:
- Writing and editing – shaping reports, strategies, toolkits, guides and web content into clear, compelling narratives that make complex ideas accessible without losing nuance
- Film and storytelling – scripting, interviewing and producing films and stories, including work in sensitive healthcare and lived-experience contexts
- Creative project leadership – managing communication projects from brief to delivery, bringing in designers, camera operators, animators and other specialists where needed
- Coproduction – working alongside people with lived experience and other stakeholders to create content that is grounded in their perspectives and genuinely resonates
- Capability building – practical masterclasses in storytelling, interviewing and creating engaging, human-centred content

How I help
Writing and editing for social change is where I first came in on all this, and that craft underpins everything I do.
Whether I’m scripting a film, turning project spreadsheets into an inviting toolkit, or writing a board strategy document, the approach is the same: understand the client and their audience, then shape communication that bridges the gap, to achieve the desired change.
I can start from scratch or work with what you already have – existing evidence, case studies, interviews, data – and shape it into something clear, credible and purposeful. I can lead the whole process or work alongside your team.
Projects range from a single report to a complex, multi-format programme, and from a focused, contained piece of work to longer engagements.
