Coaching and group work
From navigating conflict and professional identity to co-production and working with lived experience, I help individuals and groups build confidence, capability and clarity. Through coaching, development and practical masterclasses, I help people unpick challenges, develop skills and find a clear way forward.
What this often involves:
- Communication coaching for senior colleages – helping leaders and clinicians develop a clear, confident narrative
- Measurable outcomes – Over a three-month coaching programme people often see their confidence increase from around 3/10 to 8/10.
- Communicating for influence – developing the confidence and judgement to write, speak and present with clarity, authenticity and impact.
- Professional profile and presence – articulating what you stand for and building a visible, authentic voice in your field
- Clarifying roles – support with new, complex or ambiguous positions or shaping consultancy offers
- Leadership identity – establishing a values-based, authentic approach to your keadership role that draws on your natural strengths
- Team member development – working with line managers to identify goals and commission coaching support for staff at any career stage, individually or as groups or teams.
- Conflict and uncertainty – support to find peace of mind and, where available, solutions, during highly challenging situations
- Confidential check-ins – ad hoc thinking-partner conversations for senior professionals working through communication challenges
- Emotional wellbeing and neurodivergence – support with practical strategies around managing time, energy and social interactions as well as anxiety, identity and moral injury
- Group coaching – working across teams or groups facing similar challenges or aspirations to achieve insight, goals and cohesion
- Masterclasses – tailored group work focusing on human-centred aspects of communication such as interview skills or working with people with lived experience.

Coaching with Eleanor was very helpful. I improved my resilience, I increased my confidence in my own abilities to work with our comms team and I got an article through the complexities of the NHS publication process.

Eleanor helped me find my voice to communicate clearly and with courage. Coaching gave me space to freely talk and focus amidst the chaos, reframe, and build confidence in my decision-making.

How I help
I work with leaders, clinicians, researchers, communicators and others who want to communicate more clearly, lead more confidently or develop their practice.
Goals are as varied as the people I work with. Sometimes the focus is personal: managing overwhelm, clarifying your professional identity or navigating complex relationships. At other times, it’s about building practical skills – from co-production and working with lived experience to writing or presenting.
My approach is exploratory and relaxed but underpinned by rigorous methodology. I’m an accredited Institute of Leadership and Management Level 7 coach and mentor, combining this with 20+ years of communications experience drawing on anthropology and behavioural insight.
Whether we’re working one-to-one, as a group or through a practical masterclass, the aim is the same: for each individual to get beneath the surface and build confidence and capability, for tangible change.
Working on my narrative has been transformational. Now when I tell people what I do, I don’t even slightly hesitate – not just in writing but face to face too.

I no longer have fear at the bottom of my tummy when I have to speak in meetings. I no longer feel that I’m not good enough.

I went in with practical challenges but as we dived deeper, in areas like posting on LinkedIn, we unlocked the underlying issues.

“In the past, I’ve paid a lot of money for a communications expert, and frankly it was a waste of time. Eleanor’s coaching was completely different. She helped me develop a plan completely tailored to my values, priorities and time limitations. Now I’m feeling on top of things – and I’m enjoying writing again.”
